Walking in the Spirit is needed for the feeble, the fearful, those lacking vision or direction. Most certainly they are needed for those who want to be courageous, victorious, and actually accomplishing something with their life.
Living in today’s world, where every foundation that can be shaken is being shaken, as believers, we need the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our life. Without them, we too will perish and fall along the way.
Through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Lord’s spiritual gifts can be imparted to us. Through the daily work of the Holy Spirit, His fruit can grow within us.
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, NKJV Gal 5:22-24
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-24, NASU
Whether you have started walking with the Holy Spirit just recently, or have for several decades, as I have, we need a daily refreshing and recharging that the Lord provides for us, through the action of His Holy Spirit, working in and through us.
As you read these life stories, inspiring lessons, and hope-filled messages of love and faith that I share with you, may your walk in the Spirit grow and flourish to be an overcomer in the world.
To all those who desire to know the Holy Spirit, by learning of His ways, growing in the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and experiencing His gifts that enable us to be overcomers and light in a dark world – to these I dedicate this book.
I pray that you will be encouraged in your walk, and faithful to the call on your life that our Lord Jesus has given for you to do.
We need each other. We need His fruit. We need His gifts. May each one in the Body of Christ know
