Standing in support of Israel, Jews, and believers in all the nations, in the Name of Jesus (Yeshua). This is our regular communication to share the Love For His People with our friends. Blessings on ye head! |
Greetings to my family and friends of Love For His People Ministry. It seems that I write about faith more than any other topic. I guess that over the years I have come to understand and increasingly utilize the aspect of faith, the gift of faith, and the need for daily faith in our Christian walk. When I watched the last episode of Season 3 of The Chosen this week, the Lord gave me further understanding of this great part of being with Jesus, and more on what faith is and how it operates. I hope you read my new message included below, “Enough“. David Peterman and I also spoke on this in our new video below, “Faith as a Mustard Seed“. Please listen and be encouraged. Enough “And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.” Luke 17:6, NASU It fascinates me at times when I watch Dallas Jenkins’ production of The Chosen, the multi-season episodes depicting Jesus and His disciples. Along with Dallas, the other writers bring our aspects of life that we may or may not have understood or thought of through other Bible teachings and renditions of Jesus’ earthly walk. In the Season 3 finale, episode 8, Jesus had the opportunity to speak to a vast crowd of Jews and Gentiles on the kingdom of God as they sat in a field located in northern Israel near the Sea of Galilee. As He often did, He spoke a parable, one of the many common ones we have come to known. But during this scene, He described the faith of a mustard seed in a different perspective than what I had ever thought of or considered. Being raised as a Christian, my thinking of the seed was that our faith started out small, and as we grew in wisdom and understanding then that faith seed also grew, ever-increasing our faith to walk more fully and adventurous in the things of God. The more we walked, the bigger it grew, and we could accomplish more for the Lord. Basically, my understanding was that it was my responsibility to grow the seed, with daily care and knowledge. But as Jesus spoke to the crowd, I began to hear it a bit differently. I like how the Lord gives us further understanding when we hear another share their understanding. Jesus said that the mustard seed, even in its “small” state, was big enough to move mountains and enable other challenges to be faced and overcome. It became clear to me that “my faith” in our Big God was the most important thing. That even a child’s faith was enough to see a miracle happen. What this did was to take the “ability” off me and place it where it belongs, in the hands of God. Whether I am 6 or 60, having faith the size of that mustard seed was enough. Because it is because of Him any way that things are accomplished. He is big enough. He is all we need. This can truly help you and me when we feel we don’t have enough faith to obtain the miracle or the fulfillment of what we lack. It is enough to have faith as small as a mustard seed, because it is Him all the time actually doing it. More good news! The Promise – Journey of a Lifetime(2023 Edited Version with 114 photos added!!)by Steve Martin (published Jan. 2023) Throughout our lives, God keeps His hand on our shoulders and nudges us on to more than what we could ever realize. I am excited to share how He did it this with me, and am confident mine will be a story you’ll be able to relate to. As I unveil my story, think back to those times when you knew there was something more but you just couldn’t put your finger on it. You knew deep down that life wasn’t what the TV sitcoms portrayed it to be. In our souls, there is the hope, the cry for more, that someday questions will be answered and promises fulfilled if we just kept plugging away at what we know to do. In The Promise, I share my first 40 years of journey with you and show you that dreams do come true. Though Peter Pan isn’t real, the Lord, the One Who created us, indeed is, and He has a plan in place for each one of us. When you are done reading this story, I pray that you too will know more of that good plan and His purpose for you. This edited version of the 2004 edition, written 19 years ago, now includes 114 photos!
