Hurricane Ian is proving how much leadership matters – Mario Murillo

The people of Florida feel more reassured with Ron DeSantis at the helm during a hurricane, than Americans feel with Joe Biden in any weather.

One can just imagine the disaster that would ensue if the same man who handled the evacuation of Americans from Afghanistan was handling the evacuation of Florida. Even some of Biden’s ardent supporters cringe at the thought of his overseeing operations in Florida during Hurricane Ian.

The reason I know the people of Florida feel reassured is because I left the state just before all the airports were closed. There was no panic or confusion. None.

They believe in Governor DeSantis and his team. He speaks in a confident and measured tone. He is never without a plan. At this hour, he has 40,000 workers poised to rush in and deal with the extensive damage from the storm.

At this hour, he has 40,000 workers poised to rush in and deal with the extensive damage from the storm.

Most of all, he behaves as a servant to all of the people, regardless of whether they voted for him or not.

By comparison, look at Biden. His outbursts and his lapses of memory are frightening. The latest one had his handlers scrambling to defend him: “The White House on Sept. 28 claimed that President Joe Biden was not acting unusual when he looked around during an event and asked about a deceased congresswoman.

“Biden, a Democrat, was thanking members of Congress who supported legislation aimed at tackling hunger issues, when he looked around for the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN). ““Jackie here? Where’s Jackie? I think she wasn’t going to be here,” said Biden, 79, America’s oldest president.

“Walorski died in a car crash earlier this year. After the sudden death, Biden issued his condolences.” –Zachary Stieber

Worse still, Biden recently declared war on half of the citizens of America, calling them ‘terrorists.’

Worse still, Biden recently declared war on half of the citizens of America, calling them ‘terrorists.’ He is actually treating millions of Americans as if they were his enemies.

Why is there no panic in Florida? Why will there be little or no looting? The answer is leadership. And the glaring contrast is not just with Washington, but any Democrat-run state.

While Californians suffer Gavin Newsome is busy trying to sell abortions in red states

Gavin Newsom is obsessed about everything, except the needs of Californians. While the people he has sworn to serve languish in an insufferable quality of life, he is busy buying billboards in other states to sell abortions—and using the words of Jesus, out of context, to support his agenda!

The leadership of DeSantis is an outgrowth of his faith and his conservative values. It works! We saw how it created jobs. We saw how keeping the state open has flattened the curve during the pandemic. Now we see the greatest reason to choose these values: It is the best way to weather storms—be they from recessions, foreign enemies, and, yes, even nature itself.

The bottom line is that we are watching a clear contrast of leadership—a contrast that is recorded in the Bible. Proverbs 29: 2 says, “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.”

The November election is not a choice between two parties. It is a choice between good and evil. And, a chance to go from groaning to rejoicing.

Above all, we fervently pray for God’s mercy and protection on all of those who are enduring this massive and terrible storm.
