Israel Bound by Steve Martin, Love For His People ministry

Rabbi Kokeb Gedamu and Steve Martin, Jerusalem 2019
April 1, 2022 Charlotte, NC

Greetings to friends and family of Love For His People.

After a two and a half year wait and six trip cancellations due to you know what, we are getting back to Israel. My good friend David Peterman, VP of Love For His People ministry, and I leave on Saturday, April 2 for an 11-day trip to share love and more support for our Messianic friends and other Jewish loved ones.

Our 1st canceled trip was in October 2020 when David, myself, and two others were booked to go. Then the lockdowns and flight cancellations began and required vaccines. No more!

During this return ministry trip, we will be spending face-to-face time with several families and Israeli ministries Love For His People has monthly supported for many years. While staying all 10 nights in Jerusalem, we look forward to that time which the Lord God of Israel will permit.

The Lerners of His Lighthouse, Nissim and Hadassah, have been our good friends for 11 years now, located just north of Jerusalem. They have given themselves to aliyah, and even now are housing Jewish Russian and Ukrainian immigrants from the war-torn areas in Eastern Europe as they have come home to Israel. They also have been collecting humanitarian goods for the container, giving them out to other ministries as requests come in.

Ethiopian Rabbi Kokeb Gedamu will meet with us in the first week also, to get updates on the new Ethiopian immigrants that have arrived and the others yet to come. Kokeb has led the Ethiopian congregation in Jerusalem for many years, primarily helping father-less families and low-income children. Rabbi Kokeb was a main speaker at our 2020 Aliyah For His People conference we held here in the Charlotte, NC area.

It will be a joy seeing Avraham and his family who own two shops on Ben Yehuda Street. Making aliyah from Iran in the late 40s, I have known Avraham for over 15 years, and was blessed to share Shabbat meal in his home and attend shul (synagogue) the next day.

We will also give special greetings to Uri who owns a clothing shop on Ben Yehuda, Danny Boy the shop owner, and Nouri the taxi driver whom I met in 2019.

Please pray for divine appointments, protection, and overall opportunities to bless the good people of Israel. Especially we appreciate your prayers as we simply bless those we will meet along the way, for it has been a very tough two years.

I will be sharing daily videos and messages on our website so be sure to view them there, on our app, and on the social media platforms we have (Facebook, LinkedIn, Gettr, Twitter) starting Monday, April 4.

Ahava and shalom,
