“So Now What?” – Time To Act by Steve Martin
“Jesus provided far more God-revealing signs than are written down in this book. These are written down so you will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and in the act of believing, have real and eternal life in the way he personally revealed it.” John 20:30-31, THE MESSAGE
I’ll say it right up front, so as to at least know you read the first sentence. One person once told me that is what he did, and then he reads the last line, skipping the entire message.
President Donald J. Trump has become a hero to me. As were other former presidents I appreciated and knew the Lord had favor on them, such as Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, this man was put in the highest office of the world to do the will of the Lord, and in many, many areas he did just that. Just again goes to show that God can take any man or woman and use them to accomplish His purposes. Should give us all hope!
Though I for one am sad to see him not serve another 4-years in office, as well as he should have (if our election was fair, just, and legal), being that is the case, I still expect him to be back. Patriot Party, here we come!
Maybe most of you feel the same way. One thing I do know, these last three months since November of 2010 have taught us more about intercession, waiting on the Lord, seeking His face in a way we might not have had before, while hoping all along that justice would prevail during this time instead of what we have seen here in America.
But when it is all said and done, we know He is still the Lord, seated on His throne. He knows all, and in Him our eternal trust is most sure.
Through all this, once again it has been proven that man is in much peril if left to his own devices of sin, lawlessness, lies, and agendas from the heart of man, having already left their Creator and turned to their own wicked ways.
I love it that President Trump was a great friend of Israel and proved it with moving our USA embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing the Golan as legitimately Israel’s land, and letting the people build and live where they wanted to in their country. And then to top it off by negotiating peace with several Arab countries and Israel with the Abraham Accords in his last months in this term of office. He made the promises and kept his word. That is a godly fact.
Eliminating federal funds for abortions, both here and abroad, was also a godly act he achieved. As a pro-life advocate, he upheld life as the Lord meant it to be. We pray the Lord’s mercy on this next administration.
Trump’s economic policies helped more Americans of all ethnicity enjoy better incomes, and as a result he brought more blacks and Hispanics into the Republican Party than any other previous president. He was a man of the people, and his policies across the board did indeed make American great again.
So now what? Now that he is gone, at least for the time being, what shall we do?
For one, I will not in any way criticize or put blame on those true prophets who heard from the Lord and spoke as they did. We all know that no man is perfect. No pastor, no teacher, no apostle, no evangelist. Certainly, no politician or ones in any other profession. No need to throw stones unless you yourself never missed it. I will continue to stand and support those who have the gift of prophecy, and ones the Lord has also appointed and given to us as prophets. I will not dismiss His gifts He has given us. We need them more then ever, and especially in the last days. So, I too ask you not to throw hurtful and harmful stones of self-righteousness and pride.
Also, while this may seem as a setback to us in the natural realm, as elections come and go, my faith in the Lord Jesus is not wavering. I realize, after almost seven decades of life, that this world is temporal, and we need to always keep focused on the eternal. For those who do not, doom and gloom are certain to be yours.
Yeshua’s disciples had a let down after His crucifixion. (You can read my previous message “Going Fishing?”). They believed it was over. They hid from the Romans. They ended up going back to their previous job of fishing. But they were surprised when the Risen Savior proved again that He will always have the last word, the one that we too can always count on. (Read your Bible every day to know for yourself.)
Now that the day is done, those who are going to stay on the faith path must press on, for the war is going to get even more heated, as both Christians and Jews, and all who believe in godly principles, will be attacked and blamed for any bad thing that comes next in our nations. The enemy doesn’t give up, and his hate for the children of God grows ever stronger in these last days.
I encourage you to take a moment to breathe, regain any lost hope or faith you honestly have, and get ready for the next assignments the Lord has for each of us. Setbacks occur, but that won’t keep us from finishing the race set before us.
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3, NASU
Come on! Let’s walk on in faith, truth, and full of His heart of love.
