“Don’t grow weary.” Love For His People ministry message

Dec. 18, 2020 Charlotte, North Carolina USA

Greetings to our Love For His People family and friends. We welcome those who have recently signed up to receive this communication letter, and to those who have been with us for many years. Thank you!

We all grow weary. We all sometimes just want to sit back and let the world go by. Yes? When those times come, those seasons, we can be grateful that our Lord gives us new strength, restores our soul, and after a bit of rest enables us to get back up and get back in the fight.

My latest message, Not To Grow Weary, is being sent in order to bring encouragement when the day gets long, the night drags on, and that which surrounds you tries to discourage and pull you down. Even when we grow tired, weak, and the struggle seems to be too overbearing, we can count on our Lord to stand with us, as we do with Him.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. As you continue preparing for this holiday season, which for many can additionally wear you out, don’t forget to call on the Name of the Lord daily, for reassurance and trust that He is faithful to complete all that He has promised to do. He IS FAITHFUL, and will be there through it all.

Ahava and shalom,

Steve Martin

Not To Grow Weary – Time To Act by Steve Martin

“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” Galatians 6:9-10, NASU

Whenever I saw the long-distance runner doing his daily outing, it made me tired just watching him. Even when I was in middle school and he continually ran the paved streets of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Sometimes I even thought to myself, “Is it worth all that time and practice to do what he hopes to do – win?”

Being sports minded myself during the years when the body permitted itself to press on, when it came to the final quarter of the football game, the 9th inning of the baseball championship, or the last leg of the 440-yard relay, the time to really step up and give it your all was necessary if victory was to come, That was when the hours and days of strenuous practice and preparation made it all the worthwhile. The time at hand was made possible due to the “pain making the gain” that preceded it all.

We have been given natural means to help us understand the spiritual means the Lord wants us to understand. The daily sights, sounds, touch that we experience enables us to experience the world beyond this one, the world that will last for eternity when all that is here has faded away.

So, we are encouraged not to grow weary, for the promise has been made to us that in due time, in due season, we will reap the harvest, we will see the victory achieved at the end of the line.

Even in our prayer life we must press on through the weariness, the days of discouragement, the moments when the “unseen” must give way to the “seen” through faith. We must continue to strive for the upward call that has been presented to us, the ultimate goal urging us to the finish line as we walk this earthly walk.

We will reap if we do not grow weary. We will achieve the prize if we battle on until the end.

“Brothers, I, for my part, do not think of myself as having yet gotten hold of it; but one thing I do: forgetting what is behind me and straining forward toward what lies ahead, I keep pursuing the goal in order to win the prize offered by God’s upward calling in the Messiah Yeshua. Therefore, as many of us as are mature, let us keep paying attention to this; and if you are differently minded about anything, God will also reveal this to you. Only let our conduct fit the level we have already reached.” Philippians 3:13-16, Complete Jewish Bible

Continue to stand in there, fighting the good fight, for the time will come when He will reveal all truth, and we will see the full purpose of pressing on through it all.“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12-13, NKJV

Even when weariness sets in and the urge to just stop and quit comes our way, we must continue to call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus to give us strength to stay in the fight, to wage war on behalf of the defenseless, until the victorious result becomes manifest.

I like the saying that was popular, and still rings true, “Read the end of the Book. We win.”

TIME TO ACT – latest book by Steve Martin

It is time to act, for that which we have been anticipating and waiting for so long is now upon us.
Yes, the Lord God Almighty, the One seated on His heavenly throne, had His Hebrew prophets speak centuries ago to His people of this time.

So, what is happening that you and me need to be so observant of?

The nation of Israel was rebirth in 1948.The city of Jerusalem was united in 1967. The Holy Spirit has been poured out on the nations, as signs and wonders reveal His power and glory in our time. The One New Man is coming together, as Jews and Gentiles, believers in Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, unite.

And Jews from around the world are returning to the promised land, Israel, making Aliyah. Prophesied through Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and more…they are coming home by the thousands as it is becoming a priority for them, prompt by the Lord God of Israel Himself.

Yes, it is time. It is time to act.
