Greetings to our Love For His People family and friends.
Imagine that – Rocky Balboa’s movie photo on a ministry email communication letter. But being I used this photo in my current Time To Act – “Weariness” message, and because I just like it…I thought you would too. So here it is.
Entering into the fall feasts of the Lord, with the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), Yom Kippur, and Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot in Hebrew), for many of us it is a welcomed sign of our Lord’s promises. Even as a Christian I enjoy the celebration and observance of these feasts, though we were taught they were celebrated by Jews only, though Jesus (Yeshua) Himself did every year while He walked the Land of Israel.
With that being said, weariness can overtake us, and many have experienced being alone. Some by choice, some not so much. I know several who have struggled through sickness, are facing medical situations, and have even been in serious accidents. We are in a time of war, and it can wear us out. I know it does me.
And so I share both these messages I wrote, reminding, while knowing, our Lord is with us in all times, both good and bad, the ups and the downs, the joys and the sorrows. As diligent as I try, I honestly can’t say I daily walk in those “heaven is here on earth” grandeur days, for weariness and even loneliness still comes our way.
Below is my message: WEARINESS
Please go here for my message the week before on: ALONE
And after you have read them, go celebrate the upcoming fall feasts of the Lord! They renew our hope, strength, joy, and vision as we see Him always on the throne.

WEARINESS – Steve Martin
“For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes.” Jeremiah 31:25, NASU
Several images come to mind when I consider those who have become weary, from war, from natural and spiritual battles of all sorts, from the daily grind that many experience, day in and day out.
I remember those days myself of just doing the daily 35-mile daily commute to the everyday office job, maneuvering on the city’s center three-lane interstate, becoming weary of the rushing cars, speeding semi-trucks, and weaving motorcycles. It wears me out still thinking of those who still do that. Plus, so much more each day once they get to the 9-hour desk job. (Thank God that many now can work from home in these crazy days of shutdown, lockdown, takedown…)
War movies depict vividly the weariness that comes from taking ground, and then holding it, as the valiant men and women fought to overcome the enemies of the nations. Several scenes in particular I remember are from War Horse (2011, Steven Spielberg) with the British men entrenched, day in and day out, hardly advancing at all, and yet holding ground in the rain, the mud, the freezing temperatures of winter, until the orders came to go forward with all that they had.
The Rocky movies, beginning in 1976 on through 2018, enduring the 12 rounds in the boxing ring, with the two men continually hitting and beating on each other, until the final bell rang, and the champion’s exhausted arm was lifted high. Just seeing all 8 of those movies (as of today, with possibly two more in the making) can wear you out!
Spiritually, we can each get very weary as we fight on in the ongoing, persistent faith walk and daily prayer, while doing good for those around us. We strive to press on to uphold the Word of the Lord in a climate where all that is right, just, and good is being continually questioned and fought against, with rioting and created chaos, while tearing down the very foundations of our country and that which had been established long ago by the sweat, tears, and laying down of lives that have gone before us, for that which we have thus far so enjoyed and experienced.
We can find encouragement in Scripture, the very foundation that our God says will never be removed, nor destroyed, nor overcome by the wickedness and evil that surrounds our souls daily. Even as these verses speak of our Messiah, our Savior, the Lord Jesus, Yeshua, we can gain strength as we know He Himself endured so much on our behalf, and is the One Who has gone on before us, to encourage and sustain us in these days.
“The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning; He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not disobedient nor did I turn back.
I gave My back to those who strike Me, and My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard; I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting. For the Lord God helps Me, therefore, I am not disgraced; therefore, I have set My face like flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed.” Isaiah 50:4-7, NASU
The battle is the Lord’s. He promises grace, empowerment, and understanding to keep warring against the enemy of our souls, and the fight that we are called to keep doing until He returns.
Paul wrote to Timothy, his son in the faith, to not give up, but to keep on keeping on, for the end, the ultimate victory, is ours in and through our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He will bring about at the proper time — He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.” 1 Timothy 6:12-16, NASU
Though we become weary, we find renewed grace and strength to keep pushing on, holding the line, and advancing when the Commander gives the order. Because He has won victory over sin and death, we too can and will do so in our lives.
We serve the Almighty God. Let us never forget that He is the One who continues to uplift, uphold, and carry us on.
Be encouraged today, and keep fixing your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.Come on! Do some walking with me.

People like videos. I like recording them! Watch a few. I keep them short…
TIME TO ACT – new book by Steve Martin
It is time to act, for that which we have been anticipating and waiting for so long is now upon us.
Yes, the Lord God Almighty, the One seated on His heavenly throne, had His Hebrew prophets speak centuries ago to His people of this time.
So, what is happening that you and me need to be so observant of?
The nation of Israel was rebirth in 1948.The city of Jerusalem was united in 1967. The Holy Spirit has been poured out on the nations, as signs and wonders reveal His power and glory in our time. The One New Man is coming together, as Jews and Gentiles, believers in Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, unite.
And Jews from around the world are returning to the promised land, Israel, making Aliyah. Prophesied through Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and more…they are coming home by the thousands as it is becoming a priority for them, prompt by the Lord God of Israel Himself.
Yes, it is time. It is time to act.
P.S. Notice I changed the cover? I felt having the Golden Gates (Eastern Gates) of Jerusalem’s Old City, the ones where Yeshua (Jesus) will walk through once again, to give us a more reflective view on why we should be taking the time to act now, as the Lord’s return draws even closer than it was yesterday.
