What Does It Mean? This Aliyah Stuff?
“‘Therefore,’ says Adonai, ‘the day will come when people will no longer swear, “As Adonai lives, who brought the people of Isra’el out of the land of Egypt,” but, “As Adonai lives, who brought the people of Isra’el out of the land to the north and out of all the countries where he drove them”; for I will bring them back to their own land, which I gave to their ancestors.” Jeremiah 16:14-15, Complete Jewish Bible
Being raised a Roman Catholic, I never heard about the importance or significance of Israel. Having later then in my early 20s years started going to many Protestant churches, I rarely heard about the importance of Israel, let alone much from the “Old Testament”, as we knew it to be so named.
In fact, if ever there was a word spoken in those Sunday messages, church sermons, or pulpit musings about “Israel”, it was the taught and believed notion that Christians, “the Church” had replaced Israel and all the promises spoken in the Bible to the Jews were now for Christians only. After all, they were the ones “who killed Jesus” and therefore had lost that right to be called His people. If anything, we were taught that Christians replaced the Jews (otherwise known as Replacement Theology).
It was, and still is, a lie from hell, Satan’s deep pit of lies.
Jews have not been replaced by Christians to receive the promises of God. In fact, only by God’s grace have we, Christians, been grafted into the olive tree, as the wild branches. Together we make up the Body, the One New Man, that the Lord is bringing and uniting in these last days, to bring His glory, honor, and power to the nations. No wonder Satan so hates the Jews and those Christians who support them. They are the reflection of God the Father.
And as believers, Christians, who too have accepted and acknowledged Yeshua (His Hebrew name which we call Jesus) as Savior and Lord, we have received mercy and acceptance, and only because of this can we too enter into the promises of God.
Paul brings clear teaching on the rightful place of Jews and Christians who believe.
“But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either.
Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?” Romans 11:17-24, NASU
The Jews are the olive tree. Believers in Yeshua, Jesus, are the wild olive branches. This is clearly written by Paul in the Scriptures.
Thus, I come to my main point – that the Lord is bringing back home the Jews to their Land of Israel, through aliyah, immigrating to Israel. And Christians, seeing and knowing this revelation, can be part of this marvelous work of the Lord.
The Lord is fulfilling His promises to the chosen ones, the Jews, restoring them back to the Land from which He Himself had driven them.
“Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and bring them back to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply. “I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:3-4, NASU
The Lord has not forsaken His people the Jews. He has not replaced them and the promises to them by giving them to the Christians, but more so, He is bringing them back to their promised Land, fulfilling the promises to them, and joining Christians, the grafted-in ones, to be a part of His plans and purposes which we see literally being fulfilled before our eyes.
So, what about this aliyah stuff? You and I, as believers in Yeshua, Jesus, can be a part of helping them return. That which is on God the Father’s heart, to restore His people back to Israel, and bring together the One New Man, Jew, and Gentile, can be in our heart to. We too can do as we see the Father doing. We can join in this worldwide effort, and fulfillment of prophecy, and help the Jews return.
Love For His People ministry is focusing even more so on the purposes of God the Father for Israel and the Jews. We are joining with those who are also hearing the call, seeing the vision, and preparing to assist each in doing their part.
Consider what place you may play in this important mission of the Lord, to bring His people back to their Land. I have some more to share for those who want to know.
For indeed the Jews are making aliyah. The God of Israel is bringing them back for His end-time purposes.
It is time to act, to also do as we see the Father Himself doing.
