“I thought each new day would bring more honor and be full of new possibilities.” Job 29:20 Holy Bible: Easy-to-Read Version, Revised Edition
There are times when you want to stop, quit, call it “Enough”, and go on to something else.
So I thought in October 2018 when I was in Jerusalem, Israel, and was sure that it was the last trip I was going to make to Israel as part of our Love For His People ministry. After all, 21 times coming to this Land was plenty, and I had given it my best shot at making this new ministry work, since it was founded in April 2020.
I had shared the following conversation in a previous message, but want to share it again now, in case you didn’t read that one from a few years ago.
As I walked the city streets of Jerusalem by myself that fall day in the Golden City, the Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh, gently spoke a word to me.
“This is not your last. In fact, you will be coming here 2 times a year from now on.”
My reaction? “Well, if that is going to happen, You will have to do it.”
He said, very clearly, with clear authority that He has, “You are to do what I say to do. I will provide the means to do it.”
That settled in. Nothing more was said.
I did go 2x the next year, in 2019. Once with my good wife Laurie in May, and then with three other guys in October 2019 as the first annual “Ahava Adventures to Israel For Men.” Long story. Great endings!
And thus, I had another time I thought it was “the last.” This was regarding the writing and publishing of my books. But “Yeah and amen!” not so. Thus, book #31.
There are things in your life that you think have died, buried, and never to see the light of day again. But because of the One we serve, the Living God of Israel, Who is rightfully called Faithful and True, He will resurrect those dead things from years past. Believe it. He will do it.
They will live yet again. And when they do, on this we must act. It is time.
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.” John 11:25-27, NASU
