Blessings on ye head! ![]() Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Greeting to you family and friends of Love For His People ministry. And welcome new subscribers, as this message continues to get out to more each time. Share with others. Sitting here in a rocking chair outside the hospital where a good friend is having surgery performed, I am grateful for the beautiful days the Lord gives us. He is moving. He is speaking. He is calling each of us to Himself, for He has a great work for you and I to accomplish. In the midst of darkness, our God shines and completes His plans. Nothing and no one will stop Him. They try but they will fail every time. Yeah, God! He is speaking. To you. To me. Are we listening? This week’s message, Whosoever Will, asks you to consider where you are at in hearing and obeying. We like the “hearing” part, “O Lord, speak to me!” for He is speaking. But how will you respond? How have you responded to the last word He spoke to you? Do you remember it? Sometimes it is so soft we dismiss it as from Him. I hope you read my message, Whosoever Will to encourage you to hear Him. Obey Him. Be fulfilled in that which He has for you in this life. You will thank me later. And praise Him forever! Ahava and shalom, ![]() Steve Martin Hey! You! There is about three weeks before the Aliyah For His People event. Registration is required. For there was once a man who threw a great dinner party and invited many. When it was time for dinner, he sent out his servant to the invited guests, saying, ‘Come on in; the food’s on the table.’” Luke 14:16-17, THE MESSAGE During these days we live in, the Lord is calling His people, believers among Jews and Gentiles, to seek Him, hear His voice, and do as He commands each to do. But how many actually do? When was the last time you heard a word, truly from the Lord, and have yet to obey it? So often each of us are wanting to hear the Lord speak, really wanting to do as He says, but when He does, what is our reaction? Typically, and far too often, it is, “No, I don’t want to do that.” Or, “Is there something else I can do?” Or, “How can I possibly do that?” We over-analyze the word we heard. We try to figure out what the 10th step will be before we even take the first one. And then before the day, or hour is over, we have stepped out of faith already and act as if we never heard Him speak. How tragic. No wonder so many in the Church and congregations are not walking fully in their purpose that the Lord gave them life, reborn life, to do. No wonder people are unfilled, living mundane lives, anxious to know what the Lord’s will for them is, but failing to properly respond when He speaks a word and they turn from it. They have lost faith because they have not acted in faith as they can be given much grace to do. Read the full story, parable, of what Jesus, Yeshua, spoke to those who had gathered around Him. He wasn’t sugar coating anything. He was telling them the way it was. “That triggered a response from one of the guests: “How fortunate the one who gets to eat dinner in God’s kingdom!” Jesus followed up. “Yes. For there was once a man who threw a great dinner party and invited many. When it was time for dinner, he sent out his servant to the invited guests, saying, ‘Come on in; the food’s on the table.’ “Then they all began to beg off, one after another making excuses. The first said, ‘I bought a piece of property and need to look it over. Send my regrets.’ “Another said, ‘I just bought five teams of oxen, and I really need to check them out. Send my regrets.’ “And yet another said, ‘I just got married and need to get home to my wife.’ “The servant went back and told the master what had happened. He was outraged and told the servant, ‘Quickly, get out into the city streets and alleys. Collect all who look like they need a square meal, all the misfits and homeless and wretched you can lay your hands on, and bring them here.’ “The servant reported back, ‘Master, I did what you commanded — and there’s still room.’ “The master said, ‘Then go to the country roads. Whoever you find, drag them in. I want my house full! Let me tell you, not one of those originally invited is going to get so much as a bite at my dinner party.’” Luke 14:15-24, THE MESSAGE We have jobs. We have family responsibilities. We have cares and concerns in meeting the bills, finding the perfect mate, living the American dream. Life. So how many have been called, willing to let their agendas, their plans, their understanding of how the Lord has, does, or will act on their lives, and let Him do what He wants to do in and through us? Some may never know, because even though they have heard the Word spoken to them, they choose not to act upon it. The faith they needed would have been given to them if they had said, “Yes, Lord”, rather than, “I’ll think about it. I’ll even pray about it,” when in fact they really won’t and thus haven’t. The Lord knows your heart. He knows how you will respond. He does keep asking us to hear and obey, to come to His table and do His will. But a time will come when He will stop asking and go to the next one, if you won’t and don’t. And that will make for a miserable, never fulfilled life that you will live. We can repent. We need to repent. We need to say as Mary said, completely unaware of what the future held, but trusting in the Lord and saying, “Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38, NKJVYou have heard. Now is the time to obey and take that first step.
