Greeting to you our family and friends of Love For His People ministry. And welcome new subscribers!

As the rage goes on in the nations, with forces being pushed by demonic ones and the evil ways of man, the choice becomes clear: bow down now or bow down later.

That which we bow down to, or who we bow down to, will determine much. The choice is ours. We must decide and act with confidence and courage in our decisions.

This week’s message, Bow Down Now or Bow Down Later, reveals what is in the heart of man, and who we will serve. As Bob Dylan sang in decades gone by (think way back now), you Gotta Serve Somebody. (Here are a few of the lyrics, to jog your memory: “But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes Indeed you’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”)

Our hope must remain solid in the Lord Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach. He has the answers, for HE is THE ANSWER. Rest in that, and see Him move in the midst of chaos, destruction, evil arising, and sin abounding. The Holy Spirit is moving.

Ahava and shalom,

Steve Martin

“Bow Down Now or Bow Down Later”– Steve Martin, Founder/President

“But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, and He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.” Psalm 9:7-8, NKJV

Remember the illustration of the “evolution of mankind” that we were taught in elementary and high school, even continuing on into college, where the “monkey became the man” concept. The one with the monkey “becoming” a man as the millions of years went by?

I have heard it said from a real scholar that it would take more faith to believe in evolution than it would to believe in God, the Creator of the Universe. I agree.

As it is, during my prayer time the Lord gave me an inspiration from the Holy Spirit. I could “see” a man standing upright, and then slowly posturing himself from that stand-up position to one of kneeling down, and then laying prone on the floor. Flat out, in a humbling position. As the picture played out, I had the sense that he was acknowledging another one, other than himself. He realized, knew, and understood, that another was seated on the throne, not him.

This man was acknowledging the One Who sits on the throne, governing the nations, the people of earth.

Contemplating this further, I began to read Psalm 9 as my daily Scripture, and found it very interesting how it describes the conditions being reported these days on most national news broadcasts around the world.

Verse 6 really caught my attention: “O enemy, destructions are finished forever! And you have destroyed cities; even their memory has perished.” NKJV

Civil unrest, ongoing riots, destructive fires, and massive protests had arisen in the USA and across the globe. Cities had been destroyed within many sections of their boundaries, with looters, vandals, and terrorist groups seeking to destroy businesses, police buildings and the livelihoods of just people, some of which belonged to their own people who lived with them in their own same city.

I have a niece who serves with the United States ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the law enforcement agency in the United States’ Department of Justice that protects our communities from violent criminals, criminal organizations, the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, the illegal use and storage of explosives, acts of arson and bombings, acts of terrorism, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and tobacco products. (atf.gov)

She was part of the Federal fire inspection team sent to Minneapolis, Minnesota in early June to investigate over 135 fires started because of the riots and “peaceful” demonstrations erupting after Memorial Day. While on the ground, as they inspected each incident, this federal team needed one Federal Marshall with them for every two fire inspectors, to guard their back.

How tragic. To destroy that which is good believing it is a “rightful protest” of that which was bad. Only demonic inspired forces do that.

In Psalm 9 it continues with these words, written as both a way of life in which we are to follow and a severe warning to those who don’t heed the eternal, never-ending words of the Lord.

Psalm 9:7-10, NKJV, “But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, and He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”

Continuing in verses Psalm 9:15-20, the Word of God reads, “The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; in the net which they hid, their own foot is caught. The Lord is known by the judgment He executes; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but men.”

We need not fear or be overcome by the ungodly, evil, destructive ways of those opposed to the Lord Almighty’s plans and purposes. He remains in control. He sits on the Throne, unshaken as He Himself shakes the nations, as promised.

“Behold, the name of the Lord comes from a remote place; burning is His anger and dense is His smoke; His lips are filled with indignation and His tongue is like a consuming fire; His breath is like an overflowing torrent, which reaches to the neck, to shake the nations back and forth in a sieve, and to put in the jaws of the peoples the bridle which leads to ruin.” Isaiah 30:27-28, NASU

Those who refuse to acknowledge the lordship of God now will stand before Him at one point, to face His judgment come THAT Day, if not before. They will see that He who alone is King.

Sin will be judged. There is no question about that.

All will bow down to the One Who continues to sit on His throne with righteous judgments – whether it come now or later.

“But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, and He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.” Psalm 9:7-8, NKJV

We have the choice. Bow down now or bow down later.

And make sure you know who you are bowing to.

Now think on this.
