“Starry, Starry Night” – Now Think On This by Steve Martin

“David didn’t keep a count of men under the age of twenty, because God had promised to give Israel a population as numerous as the stars in the sky.” 1 Chron. 27:23, THE MESSAGE

For the last few nights, the Lord has been awakening me around 1:30 am after about 5 hours of sleep. (I know what you are thinking.) But time is short. And things are greatly speeding up. A good friend of mine together on staff at All Nations Church/Chavda Ministries, Tim Tennant, and I, from 1994-2000 in Charlotte, NC, used to have a saying taped on a sign to the front of our desks, “We can sleep when we get to heaven.” (But there we won’t need to!)

Early this morning around 2 :00 am, as I sat on our front porch swing in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, I looked into the heavens and saw only two stars between the front yard branches of the Bartlett pear tree.

Two stars.

I believe the Holy Spirit is saying that they represent the nation of Israel and the Church of believers, lining up for His plans and purposes.

The song, “Starry, Starry Night”, sung by Don McClean in the 70s, has nothing to do with this message. In fact, the Lord will use anything to get our attention, even things like songs, weather patterns, and even pandemics if He has to, to get our eyes focused on Him. For some, it awakens them to salvation. For others, it gets them back thinking of the Lord Jesus, and what He, together with His Father and Holy Spirit, is doing as they shake the planet in our time.

He is wanting us to look up, to see Him in creation, and call upon His Name, our only hope for our nations.

In several of my Now Think On This messages, the Lord has given me words to share with you about Israel and the Church. It has been on His heart since the beginning of time, as He sought a people who would seek Him, know Him, and fellowship with Him as a family. First, He called Jews as He, the Messiah, walked the earth in Israel.

Then, after His death, burial, and resurrection, He gathered His early Jewish disciples together, told them to wait for His power to come upon them in the Upper Room, for the purpose of sending them out. In good time also, to all the nations, where Jews had been dispersed earlier, and to the Gentiles too. Primarily starting with His servant Paul, the apostle, a sent one, to begin with, a Jew, He sent His people to Turkey (Asia Minor), Greece, Macedonia, and onto Rome. They went to Europe, to India, and beyond.

Have you ever considered that it was He who had the Romans build the roads they traveled on, making it easier and faster to spread the Good News, the Gospel? And now, in our time, these last days we are living in, He has given man the wisdom in building the Internet, the high-tech services, to again even more so get His Gospel out, the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach. What a Wonder we serve.

His heart is for both Jew and Gentile, so He can bring together the One New Man, the Bride of Christ, those who will eternally fellowship with the Trinity for all eternity.

Yes, the stars are lining up, not in some astrological forecast many would have us believe in as a false, New Age religion, but because the Creator of the Universe, the One Who had established and put in place the awesome galaxies, the eternal heavens, is calling out to all who will have eyes to see, ears to hear, and will follow after Him in obedience and honor of Him.

“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place — what are mere mortals, that you concern yourself with them; humans, that you watch over them with such care?

You made him but little lower than the angels, you crowned him with glory and honor, you had him rule what your hands made, you put everything under his feet — sheep and oxen, all of them, also the animals in the wilds, the birds in the air, the fish in the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

Adonai! Our Lord! How glorious is your name throughout the earth!” Psalm 8:4-10, Complete Jewish Bible

The stars are aligning to reveal some of His will. Speaking to us in any way that will get our attention at this time. His return is sooner than you think.

Now think on this.
