“I Heard These Words in Prayer: ‘The Accelerator Has Come!'”

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:Steve Shultz

I’ve loved getting to know Prophet Demontae Edmonds and his family over the last several years.

Not only does Demontae have a tried and tested gift of prophecy, but he’s a great writer too.

A lot of people can prophesy, but when it comes to putting it down “on paper” that requires a specific gift…a gift that Demontae has in spades. Please enjoy this short, but very potent word!

I Heard These Words in Prayer: ‘The Accelerator Has Come!'”Demontae Edmonds, Virginia Beach, VA

I heard these words while in prayer, “The Accelerator has come.” I knew instinctively that God was speaking about the person of the Holy Spirit. Jesus declared Him to be the Comforter and Helper. We know the Holy Spirit also serves in other capacities to bring regeneration, deliverance, and healing in the lives of Believers.

There are times when He works as an accelerator for God to restore lost time to Believers and move them at an advanced pace into the next season of their destinies. As soon as the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus, after His baptism by John in the wilderness, we see in Mark 1:12 it says, “And immediately the Spirit driveth Him into the wilderness.”

The Holy Spirit began to accelerate the call and purposes of God upon Jesus’ life. Within a few short months, a man who was virtually unknown in Israel’s religious community, began to shake up the nation. Mark 1:28 says, “…His fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.”

This happened in matter of weeks. That’s serious acceleration.

The word “accelerator” is defined as “A person or thing that causes something to happen or develop more quickly.” When the Holy Spirit gets in the driver’s seat and takes control of our lives, things happen at a faster pace. It actually takes grace from God Himself to be able to keep up with the Holy Spirit’s moving and doings.

Another definition for accelerator is “A device, typically a pedal, that controls the speed of a vehicle’s engine.” When we are yielded to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, He not only speeds up God’s working in our lives, but He also knows when to slow things down to give us time to rest and be refreshed.

The Place of Still Waters

The psalmist proclaims in Psalms 23:1-2, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.” Still waters is a place where…
