Today I’m at the Jordan River, one of the sites where it’s believed that John the Baptist conducted the baptism of Jesus – we never really know exactly where those sites are, but here makes sense because of the depth of the river.

Did you know that baptism wasn’t really initiated with John the Baptist? Our guide will tell you it’s not from the New Testament, it’s actually from Leviticus chapter 18! Listen to what our fantastic guide has to tell us about this spot! ——-

Editor’s Note (Steve Martin, Love For His People): I believe Jesus (Yeshua) was actually baptized, immersed, near the new site by Jericho, which is very close to the Judean Desert. I have been there several times now. Come with me to Israel and I’ll take you there too!)

The baptismal site near Jericho and the Judean Desert. Most likely where Yeshua (Jesus) was immersed (baptized) by John the Immerser (Baptist). Above photo by Steve Martin. Below photo by David Lauka as I baptized Lathan Wood of The Movement. Israel Oct. 2019
