Re-Planting trees consumed by holy fire
Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. Exodus 3:5 (The Israel Bible™)

שַׁל־נְעָלֶיךָ מֵעַל רַגְלֶיךָ כִּי הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה עוֹמֵד עָלָיו אַדְמַת־קֹדֶשׁ הוּא
Hear the verse in Hebrew
shal na-ah-lay-KHA may AL rag-LAY-kha kee ha-ma-KOME ah-SHER ah-TAH oh-MADE ah-LAHV ahd-MOT ko-DESH hu

Fire in the Bible can be holy, as in today’s verse, where God appears to Moses in a burning bush that was famously not consumed by fire. However, fire can also be destructive as it was at the Moshav Mevo Modiim last May.

A devastating wildfire burned the entire community in Central Israel to the ground leaving sixty families homeless and 3,000 trees destroyed. Rabbi Tuly visited the Moshav and replanted trees at a park named “Esh Kodesh” (Holy Fire) to demonstrate that like the burning bush, the community was consumed but not destroyed. Partner with Israel365 in replanting trees that were recently burned and plant a tree in the Land of Israel!
