A weekend survey by Charisma Media found that 90% of over 1,000 poll respondents in a 72-hour poll say President Donald Trump’s opponents are determined to impeach him for two main reasons: 1) They will do “anything to stop him from winning again in 2020” (51%); and 2) the “corrupt deep state fears exposure” (39%). Another 10% say opponents truly believe there was wrongdoing.
Award-winning journalist, businessman and author Stephen E. Strang writes about the plans to impeach Trump at the very start of his presidency, and now those efforts are a reality, as the House of Representatives is expected to vote on two articles of impeachment this week.
Strang is the author of the new book, God, Trump, and the 2020 Election: Why He Must Win and What’s at Stake for Christians If He Loses, which will be released by FrontLine, an imprint of Charisma House, on Jan. 14, 2020.

Throughout the new book, Strang touches upon breaking presidential news, including interviews with faith leaders who predicted the mass resistance against Trump along with the current calls for impeachment.
“Democrats, angry that Trump won in 2016, have been trying to get him out of office almost since he was inaugurated, and this latest effort is more of the same,” Strang writes in the book’s epilogue. “While I want to be careful in predicting the future, I believe Donald Trump will survive this attack too. I think the Democrats know they can’t beat him at the polls, but if they can create a ‘scandal’ and make him damaged goods in the eyes of some voters, that may shift enough votes to steal the election from him.
“But let’s be clear,” Strang added. “This impeachment inquiry is not about what Donald Trump may have said in a phone call with the Ukrainian president. It’s that this president, as imperfect as he may have been in the past, has been standing for religious liberty and righteousness. He has stood with Israel. He is strong. He can’t be intimidated.”
