“God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, not of the philosophers and of the learned,” wrote famous mathematician and philosopher, Blaise Pascal, after the encounter with God that would change his life forever. “Certitude. Certitude. Feeling. Joy. Peace. God of Jesus Christ. My God and your God. Your God will be my God. Forgetfulness of the world and of everything, except God.” Beholding the glory of God changes our perspective on the world and everything that is happening around us, as more and more Jewish people are discovering. | Dr. Erez Soref, President of ONE FOR ISRAEL |

Encountering God’s Glory Then Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” (Exodus 33:18) By this point, you might have thought that Moses had seen quite a lot of God’s glory. Almost certainly more than you and I at any rate. He’d seen the devastating plagues God had rained down on the Egyptians, he’d seen an entire sea part before his eyes, he’d been up Sinai and received the ten commandments, written by God Himself. But Moses understood the gravity of the challenge he’d been given, and wasn’t budging without God by his side. He wanted to know God was really with him. He wanted to get better acquainted. |
An Alarming Time for Jews Worldwide “Many of my Jewish friends are terrified about what’s happening. My daughter is nervous to speak Hebrew in public. I have been afraid to speak out for fear of censure from my own Left community. But after I learned about Corbyn’s Doha trip I could stay silent no longer.” Adam Ma’anit gave voice to many in the Jewish community in the UK with anti-Semitism rising unabated, as it is elsewhere in the world. The prevalence of anti-Semitism in the left-wing party has been well documented, but thankfully a majority voted against them in Thursday’s general election. However, the UK election has not been the only concern Jewish people are dealing with around the world at the moment. From shootings in the US to attacks on Hebrew speakers in the streets of Europe, these are troubling times for the Jewish people. |
