Dec. 2, 2019 Chapter 29
When do you know it is the Lord’s doing? When you do something that only He would have initiated, started, caused to happen, or He did something and you look back and say, “That was the Lord. No one else could have done that.”
There were several times on this ahava adventure with the other three Louis Brothers when I just stopped in amazement and said to the Lord, “You are doing this. You are bonding men together to touch the people of Israel. You are making this a time for the men of the nations to stand up and say, “We are here for you, you whom the Lord has brought back to this Land.”
And sometimes you don’t even realize what the Lord is doing until days, months, or years later and you wake up (even at 2:00 am in the morning!) and He leads you to this Scripture from the Hebrew prophet Zechariah. And then you have further understanding, and the “Ah hah!” moment happens.
“Those who are far off will come and build the temple of the Lord.” Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And it will take place if you completely obey the Lord your God.” Zechariah 6:15, NASU
And in The Message version, “People will come from faraway places to pitch in and rebuild the Temple of God. This will confirm that God-of-the-Angel-Armies did, in fact, send me to you. All this follows as you put your minds to a life of responsive obedience to the voice of your God.”
And then the Completer Jewish Bible rendition, “Those who are now far away will come and help rebuild the temple of Adonai.” Then you will know that it is Adonai-Tzva’ot who sent me to you. And it will all come about, provided you heed carefully what Adonai your God says.’”
The Living God of Israel is raising up men (and women, but now I am focusing on the MEN!) to stand up and support His people in the Land of Israel, for the time has come for the men of the nations to show the world that we are mighty in Him, strong in Him, and will hear and obey the call on our lives to walk in His ways, teach our children, and do that which we have been born to do.
For far too long we have sat on the comfy chair, watched the gladiators on the gridiron as the hours went by, and let the women of our generation do all the work, all the praying, all the leading.
God bless them for doing what they have done and continue to do!
But now the Lord is calling us MEN to do what we have been called to do, and do it in His power, His wisdom, His strength, and His courage. It is time for the men of God to arise in this hour.
We won’t be confused as to what gender we are, what role we are to work out, what woman we are to marry as He directs our path and provides. We will be that which we are called to be.
Gregory Louis, David Louis, Lathan E-“Louis”, and myself, Steven Louis, may not have fully comprehended what the Lord purposed in His heart for this trip we took in September/October 2019, but He certainly did, and in His wisdom and provision He began a new thing, and others will follow in the trail He blazed before us.
I foresee men going in groups to Israel, those of us “who are far off”, to “come and build in the Palace of the Lord”, and we will “know that the Lord of Hosts has sent us.”
As we “diligently obey the voice of the Lord our God”, He will direct our steps and lead us to support more fully those making aliyah; those already in the Land who struggle to makes ends meet; those who know that their God is THE God, above all others, and will come to know their Messiah Yeshua as He has brought salvation to the Gentiles, until their times are fulfilled.
Yeshua Himself spoke these words, “And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Luke 21:24, NKJV
Who are the “they”? It is the Jews He was speaking to then, and it is the Jews whom He is speaking to now.
The times of the Gentiles are being fulfilled in our day. It is NOW the time of the Jews, coming back to the Land of Y’srael, and seeing their God, our God, fulfill His eternal promise of restoration, redemption, and salvation, as the Apostle Paul so clearly stated.
“For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery — so that you will not be wise in your own estimation — that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,
“THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION,
HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.”
“THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM,
WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS.”
From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:25-36, NASU
The men of the nations are being called up to stand up and get going in the things of God. May each man reading this know that YOU are one of them.
