“But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” Revelation 5:5, NKJV
One of the main purposes of our Ahava Adventure trips to Israel, through the Love For His People ministry, is to spend time with those whom I count as our close friends in the Land, beginning in 2011. These men and women of Father God, servants of the same Lord and Savior we serve, are located in Givat Ze’ev (Nissim and Hadassah Lerner with His Lighthouse, Inc., Tiberias (Aliyah Return Center with Chaim Malespin), Poriya Kfar Avoda (Richard and Carolyn Hyde, Heart of G-d above the Sea of Galilee), Ariel and Avi-Asher Hyde (Tree of Life Ministries, Haifa), and in Jerusalem (Rabbi Kokeb Gedamu of Congregation Amud HaEsh).
We know and support several other friends, but for important reasons, we cannot mention here.
These believers, longtime Messianic Jews, several originally from the United States, have given themselves and their resources, including their homes, funds, daily schedules, to assisting other Jews making aliyah (immigrating) to Israel. This had long ago been prophesied in the Bible, that of the return of the scattered Jews throughout the nations, through the prophets of old, including Yeshua (Jesus) Himself, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, our King and Savior.
We are living in the time when the King is coming. Back to earth, and causing His chosen ones, the Jews, as declared in ages gone by, to come home.
The Lion of the tribe of Judah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, the Christ, is coming back to this planet to the same place from where is descended into heaven around 33 AD. Jerusalem, the City of Gold, awaits the Messiah. And He is returning soon.
“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:4-11, NKJV
Mohammed didn’t ascend into heaven from Jerusalem as falsely lied about for many centuries. But Yeshua did. And Jesus is the One coming back, to that very same city from which He ascended into heaven.
It won’t be to New York City. Nor to Beijing. Not even to London, Paris, Moscow or Medina or Mecca. But to Yerushalayim. Jerusalem. The City of the Great King.
When the four of us men landed at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, I knew the Lord was going to make this a special time for us. Not only to open our eyes further to His purposes for each of us, but to continually connect us to the people He has, and continues to gather back to their promised land. As Gentiles, non-Jews, we have been called to now support our brothers and sisters, the Jews, who have given to the world so much in spiritual and natural foundations.
Our Messiah, in the Bible, through the Jewish Prophets, spoke of this. For “salvation is through the Jews.”
Yeshua Himself spoke this declaration to the Samaritan women in John 4:21-23, saying, “Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God’s way of salvation is made available through the Jews. But the time is coming — it has, in fact, come — when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter.” (THE MESSAGE The Bible in Contemporary Language)
As we spent time with these precious friends, sharing delicious Israeli meals, worshiping the living God of Israel together, planning further inspired vision for the coming days ahead, my heart grew in stronger faith and expanding love. This was the unfolding of the gradual revelation and call upon the ministry of Love For His People my good wife Laurie and I were given to establish in April 2010. Being a part of this history, alongside others in giving of ourselves and resources for the Coming King’s eternal plan to be established, is an amazing privilege and challenge.
Jesus is bringing back His people to His Land. He is preparing for the establishment of His earthly reign, from Jerusalem, in the millennium ahead.
The King is coming back again. Get ready by being involved yourself.
Now think on this and see what good things the Lord has in store for you and those around you.
