“Thu says the Lord God: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.
And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country.
I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.
I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord God. “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.” Ezekiel 34:11-16, NKJV
It was a real joy having the three Israelis come to the Charlotte, North Carolina these past weeks, sharing the heart of the Lord concerning His people. Each one shared a bit different. Each one spoke of their personal experiences, now and before then. And each one touched us with the heart of the Lord God of Israel.
Ahava, Carolyn, and Hadassah were back in the land of their birth, having come from the Land of their final destination.
These three, never knowing each other before but now friends while living in different parts of Israel – Ahava H., Carolyn Hyde, and Hadassah Lerner – had been born in America, struggled with but then understood the call of the Lord on their lives, and His promise to Jews worldwide, and then were brought back to their promised home.
Most things are not easy. Birthing a baby is hard. (Thankful not me personally, but my good wife Laura Jean has done it four times.) Raising a family is getting more difficult in a culture more and more opposed to the kingdom of God. Moving from your homeland to “the promised homeland” can be most traumatic. New culture, New land. New language. New neighbors. New everything.
Some don’t last the first go around. I know many personally who have gone and returned.
But because the heart is thankfully more stronger than the flesh, as the Spirit brings further enlightenment and understanding, they have returned. For good.
The prophet Ezekiel spoke the Word of the Lord centuries ago, giving Jews this promise, which has been, and even more so, being fulfilled in this day. This hour. In our times.
“Tell them, ‘God, the Master, says, Watch me! I’m taking the Israelites out of the nations in which they’ve been exiled. I’ll gather them in from all directions and bring them back home. I’ll make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and give them one king — one king over all of them. Never again will they be divided into two nations, two kingdoms.
Never again will they pollute their lives with their no-god idols and all those vile obscenities and rebellions. I’ll save them out of all their old sinful haunts. I’ll clean them up. They’ll be my people! I’ll be their God! My servant David will be king over them. They’ll all be under one shepherd.
“‘They’ll follow my laws and keep my statutes. They’ll live in the same land I gave my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their grandchildren will live there forever, and my servant David will be their prince forever.
I’ll make a covenant of peace with them that will hold everything together, an everlasting covenant. I’ll make them secure and place my holy place of worship at the center of their lives forever. I’ll live right there with them. I’ll be their God! They’ll be my people!
“‘The nations will realize that I, God, make Israel holy when my holy place of worship is established at the center of their lives forever.'” Ezekiel 37:21-28 THE MESSAGE
The nation of Israel is alive and thriving, as the Living God of Israel is revealing Himself even more throughout the nations, by bringing the spotlight to what He is doing in that nation.
You can’t stop the Maker of heaven and earth from fulfilling His plans and purposes. You can’t continually kill and destroy the Jews, the apple of His eye, without facing His judgment upon yourself.
His plans have been fulfilled. His will is being done. His people are coming back home.
Romans destroyed their temple and drove them out from the land. Muslims made ruinous historical, spiritual landmarks and to this day vow to drive them into the sea. Germans put them in the gas chambers. The “religious” Christian church has tried to replace them (Replacement Theology.)
All through the evil hands of the one who is the hater of all that is good and godly. Hell is now where those abide. But His people now abide in the Land of milk and honey.
Many have tried to stop Him. Kings have cursed Him. Nations continue to attempt to thwart His kingdom coming to this planet.
But He is Faithful. He is Good. He is Almighty God. And before His second return, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ, is bringing them back home to be there when He does
Now think on this and see what good things the Lord has in store for you and those around you.
