This week’s Bible portion, Shelach, focuses primarily on the Sin of the Spies, which resulted in God’s decree that the Israelites must wander in the desert for forty years instead of entering the land of Israel directly. This is an eternal reminder not to speak negatively about the Land of Israel and instead to focus on the beauty and bounty of the land.
