It’s the time of the year again when Jewish homes are illuminated by candlelight – it’s Hanukkah, the feast of lights!
Hanukkah, also known as the Feast of Dedication, celebrates the rededication and cleansing of the Second Temple around 200 BC, after the victory of the Maccabees against their Syrian-Greek oppressors.
“At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon.“

John 10: 22-23
We got to celebrate the fourth night of this beautiful Feast with a bonfire, barbeque, lighting of candles and music. What a joy it was for the entire ARC team to share this special moment with the Post Army Soldiers and the Lone Soldiers here at the Aliyah Return Center!

“Givati: An Israeli-American War Story” is about a Lone Soldier who makes Aliyah and goes to war, serving in the IDF. It’s time to honor these brave soldiers by telling their story!
