The Ultimate Faithfulness ✡ “But The Dove Could Not Find A Resting Place For Its Foot” – Israel365

But the dove could not find a resting place for its foot, and returned to him to the ark, for there was water
over all the earth.

Today’s Israel Inspiration

Throughout Talmudic literature, the Jewish people are compared to a dove.  Once a dove meets her mate, she never leaves him for another, and a dove, even when her offspring are taken, will never abandon her nest.  In a similar fashion, the Children of Israel are faithful to God.  The Sages comment that the dove that Noah sent from the ark in search of dry land, foreshadows the journey of the Jewish people throughout history. Just as the dove found no rest for the sole of its foot, so too the Jews will find no solace in exile. Just as the dove returned to the ark seeking shelter, so the Jews will return from exile to the Land of Israel.  Like the dove in the story of Noah, the people of Israel have remained faithful to God, and now, after thousands of years of absence, have returned to His land. The Israel Bible provides readers with inspiration about the Land of Israel, as well as supplementary educational material such as maps, charts, and a Hebrew/English glossary.

Can a Young Earth Geologist Prove Noah’s Flood Story at Grand Canyon?

After a four-year court battle, a geologist has been granted permission to collect samples from the Grand Canyon which he hopes will prove that Noah’s flood took place less than 6,000 years ago.

Noah’s Dove

This week, we read the Torah Portion of Noah, one of the most beloved Bible stories. The Jewish people are often compared to the dove which Noah sent out in search for dry land. Just as the dove returned to Noah, so too will the Jewish people always return to Israel, their ancestral homeland.
