LoveMusic! – Phil Keaggy “Time” – live in concert 1978
Greetings LoveMusic! believers.
It is time.
Phil Keaggy – one of my all-time favorite singer, songwriter, and ultimate guitarists. It used to be said that Jimi Hendrix was once asked what it was like to be the world’s best guitarist. His reply, “I don’t know. Ask Phil Keaggy.” That may or may not be a true statement, but Phil, with only nine fingers, has to rank among the best. In my humble opinion at least!
This song by Phil first appeared on the album Love Broke Thru (1976). Along with other hit tunes on the vinyl (Love Broke Through, Abraham) it caught my attention the first listen through back then in ’76. Now when it comes up on my “Favorites” listing on my iTunes playlist, I turn it up loud and hit the repeat button.
Not typically your “quiet time” worship song, it does make you aware that time is fast coming to an end as we know it. So what are we doing about it? Are you doing what the Lord Jesus has called you to?
“When the Lord stops him (time), that’ll be it,
Too late for apologies.
Too late to forgive your brother,
Too late to get on your knees.
When the Lord stops him, that’ll be it,
Too late to help the needy
And worst of all it’s too late to turn
You must face eternity.”
Take the time to listen to “Time” on his Love Broke Through album.
Be blessed on your blessing others today,

Watch another version. Phil has a beard, which was most common in his early years. Must have been the hippie era, when he lived at the Love Inn with others in upper New York state.

Another great song, where Phil speaks of his support for Israel. True Believers
Phil Keaggy:Time Lyrics
Time
This song is by Phil Keaggy and appears on the album Love Broke Thru (1976).
Well He hasn’t always been around
And He won’t always be.
But He’s on the move at this moment
Measuring life for you and me.
I fear we all submit to him
Existing anxiously,
And no one is able to turn him off
Except the Lord who holds the key.
When the Lord stops him, that’ll be it,
Too late for apologies.
Too late to forgive your brother,
Too late to get on your knees.
When the Lord stops him, that’ll be it,
Too late to help the needy
And worst of all it’s too late to turn
You must face eternity.
His name is Time and he’s coming to an end.
His name is Time where will you be my friend?
His name is Time and he’s coming to an end.
His name is Time where will you be my friend?
Most people think he’ll never stop
He’ll go on perpetually,
But old man time is running out
And he’ll cease eventually.
